German Eco-Soft Toy Brand Senger® Joins Hape Family Group
(Nuremberg, 3rd Feb. 2017) Hape group warmly welcomed another new family member – Senger®, a German eco-soft toy brand since thirty years.
After joining Hape group, the new company is renamed to Senger Naturwelt (English translation: Senger Natural World). This cooperation will further expand the business portfolio of Hape group to soft toy. This has been another spirited act since 2013, when the company merged with Käthe Kruse®, the German classical doll brand of over a century. “The merger is never a rough takeover, it is a carrying forward, and the goal is to take good care of all the original brands who hold dear to their initial missions.” Stated Peter Handstein, Founder & CEO of Hape group.
This idea brought these two children-oriented companies together to provide ecological, environment-friendly and safe soft toys to children, from newborn to preschool age. Sabine Senger and Volker Senger, Founder of Senger® said frankly:
“In the past years we received a constant increase of the orders, and we’d gone past running the business on our own family workshop any more. After having investigated the whole industry, we are lucky to come together with Hape group, its contribution to sustainable development and support for young designers worldwide impressed us a lot.
We feel very confident that Hape can inherit our philosophy. What to us of the utmost importance is to guarantee all raw materials and handcrafts from Germany to continue “made in Germany”.
Sengers will continue working in Senger Naturwelt as a product development consultant, in order to uphold their thirty years of experience coupled with passion in the ecological soft toy industry.
